This Privacy Policy explains how OPAL Detailing (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects the personal data you provide when you use this website, enquire with us or book a service. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to respond to you and carry out the work.

Who we are

This website is operated by OPAL DETAILING LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16940872, with its registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, Fifth Floor, London, W1W 5PF. What data we collect

When you complete our enquiry or booking form, we collect the information you choose to give us, which may include:

• Your name
• Your email address and phone number
• Details of your vehicle (such as make, model and condition)
• The address or location where you would like the work carried out (we are a mobile service, so we come to you)
• The service you are interested in and your preferred date or time
• Any details you include in the message field

If you book through our online calendar, that information is handled by our booking provider in order to arrange the appointment. We also collect limited, anonymised, cookie-free analytics about how the site is used, to help us improve it.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use the details you provide solely to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange and carry out the work and follow up about the service you asked about. Our lawful basis for this is your consent (which you give when submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. We do not use your details for marketing without your separate, explicit consent and we never sell your data.

Review requests

After we have completed a job, we may send you one email asking how it went and inviting you to leave a review on Google, and possibly one short reminder a few days later. We send these under our legitimate interest in getting feedback on our work. They are not marketing, and every one includes an easy way to opt out. Leaving a review is entirely optional. Any review you post on Google is public and is handled under Google's own privacy policy.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or trade your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate — for example our website host (Cloudflare), our booking and email provider (Zoho) and our form-handling provider. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements and only as needed to deliver their service.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking details only as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry, any resulting work and any follow-up (such as a review request, or records we are required to keep for accounting), after which they are securely deleted. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law (including the UK GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data erased
• Restrict or object to how we process your data
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

Cookies & tracking

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any analytics we use are privacy-friendly and cookie-free, so we do not need to show you a cookie banner.
